Privacy policy
Personal Mail Access is operated by the account owner for personal use. This policy covers its read-only Gmail integration.
Information accessed
With the account owner’s authorization, the integration can retrieve Gmail message headers and bodies, threads, labels and attachments. It requests only the Gmail read-only OAuth scope. It does not receive the owner’s Google account password.
Purpose and processing
Email information is used to answer the owner’s requests, including searching correspondence, summarizing messages and identifying outstanding matters. The integration runs on the owner’s server and supplies relevant results to the AI application used for the task.
Service providers and disclosure
Retrieved email content may be processed by the selected AI provider, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, and by infrastructure providers supporting the integration. Their processing and retention depend on the specific service and account settings. Content is not published on this website. The integration does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Storage and retention
OAuth credentials are stored on the owner’s server with restricted file permissions. The Gmail adapter retrieves messages on demand rather than maintaining a full mailbox copy. Email excerpts, summaries and requested records may remain in AI conversations or the owner’s saved work, subject to the relevant service’s retention and deletion controls. Routine adapter logs exclude message bodies and credentials.
Permissions and revocation
The integration cannot send, draft, modify or delete Gmail messages. The owner can revoke its authorization through Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized Gmail access; it does not automatically delete information already retained in conversations or saved work. Those records must be deleted through their respective storage services.
Google API data use
Personal Mail Access’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Contact and changes
The operator’s support email is shown on the Google OAuth consent screen. Contact that address with questions about this integration or deletion of retained records. This policy will be updated when the integration’s data practices change.
